The Te Ako Manaaki Framework can be used in a number of ways to improve outcomes.

Supporting students at risk of disengaging from education
The Te Ako Manaaki Framework is being used to support students who are starting to disengage from learning in a mainstream environment, and or are entering in ‘Alternative Education’, or need additional supports to help them re-engage in mainstream schooling.
Avoiding Exclusion
The Framework is being used to support students (and their schools) to avoid exclusion from learning.
As an Attendance Service
The Te Ako Manaaki Framework is being used by the Attendance Service, in partnership with schools. It supports not only the process and outcomes for individual learners, but supports larger projects and initiatives that can help improve attendance overall in a community.
Tertiary and Employment
The Te Ako Manaaki Framework has been used to support at risk and vulnerable learners to access and engage in tertiary learning and employment.
Case Studies

West Auckland
West Auckland is where the Managed Moves Model and Framework was developed. From 2017 it has been used to support at risk and vulnerable learners age 12 to 18 engage (or re-engage) in learning and access the supports they need to address the barriers to education that exist for them.

Student Case Studies
We have several case studies of students who have been supported by the Managed Moves teams using the framework. The ages include new entrant (5 years), 13 years, and 18 year olds.
